Hadephobia.

Bismillah. Salam.

I made some research ( not really, it's just Google :) ) on something and ran into a website about phobia. It's suprising that there are so many types of phobia. One site states that phobia is a type of fear on something (and actually, fearing of every single thing has its own specific name. We'll figure out later) while other states that phobia is when the fear is caused by something. Does phobia actually equal to fear?

The difference between the two is rationality. When fear is beyond rational, there comes the phobia.

It is when one says, "I know it sounds silly, but I really cannot go with..". That is when the fear is actually irrational, but it just happens to you.

I cannot go with cockroach. Especially the flying ones. Eww..!

We may have heard a lot of people, with different phobias. Some may say, others phobia is irrelevant, while ignoring theirs. Actually, both are irrelevant. Somehow, phobia is not any kind of illness, or mental-disorder. So, don't worry.

What has captured my interest, is that every phobia has its own name, and this somehow I found it interesting. Lets name some of them :)

1. Regarding to the picture above, my phobia is known as KATSARIDAPHOBIA. Oh, how classic the name is! - It's the fear of cockroaches.

2. LYGOPHOBIA - Fear of darkness. Most children have this. Including those little ones in my home, and sometimes this phobia is soooooo annoying!. And this one mostly affect women?

3. NOSOCOMOPHOBIA - Fear of needles or pointed objects.

4. TRYPANOPHOBIA - Fear of injections. I injected myself for blood test in Biology experiment, and I definitely love that!

5. GERASCOPHOBIA - Fear of aging. (I think most celebrities do have this :) or maybe you?)

6. BIBLIOPHOBIA - Fear of books! haha. Are you suffering this?

7. MAGEIROCOPHOBIA - Fear of cooking. Is this why most teenagers nowadays can't really cook? Haha. Lame excuse!

8. DENTOPHOBIA - Fear of dentist. Densists out there, or to-be ones, somebody is fearing you! Teeth are scarying, is it?

9. LATROPHOBIA - This one is for doctors :)

10. ANTHROPHOBIA - Fear of flowers. Any girls have this? Poor.

11. CIBOPHOBIA - Fear of food. I think this one collaborates well enough with people afraid of gaining weights.

12. PHASMOPHOBIA - Do most people have this? Fear of ghosts.

13. ONOMATOPHOBIA - Fear of hearing certain words or names. Kalau ada orang cakap, "Ei, aku memang tak boleh dengar la nama dia! Macam nak terbakar rasa!" He/she definitely suffering from ths phobia. Haha.

14. JAPANOPHOBIA - Can you guess? Fear of Japanese! Ada jugak nama ni? Adoi..kesian orang Jepun.

15. SOPHOPHOBIA - Orang malas ni lah dia. Fear of learning.

16. MACROPHOBIA - Fear of long waits. Next time cakap, "Kau jangan buat aku tunggu lama tau! Aku ada macrophobia! " hehe. Gerenti datang cepat.

17. ARITHMOPHOBIA - Fear of numbers. Yang pening-pening je time belajar Mathematics.

18. SOCERAPHOBIA - Just married couples may experience this. Fear of parents-in-law.

19. PHOBOPHOBIA - Fear of phobias? Aik. Apa maknanya?

20. SATANOPHOBIA - Fear of satan. Everyone should have this, and I think this one is a rational fear. Fear of getting into their traps.

I think this list is long enough. Which phobia are you? Go and search for your own phobia names, and discover how the names are actually quite interesting! and beautiful. Maybe by knowing their names, your phobia fades away? Haha. For my phobia above, I don't think in anyway it could fade. Hee.

Oh, by the way, Hadephobia (the post's title) is the fear of hell. I'm just thinking, if phobia does come with certain causes, what causes Hadephobia? Is it the fear because we'll be heated up, or because it's a sign of God's anger? And can any way, fear of God, be classified as phobia?

Actually, fear of Allah in Islam, means the opposite way of the literal meaning of fear and the actions that follow it. We love, but we fear.
